Helping our community

Something scenic

Dikeletsong Citizens' Advice Bureau of Pretoria is an organisation of volunteers operating out of offices in the Kutlwanong Democracy Centre in downtown Tshwane.

DCAB offers services, free of charge, to anyone who needs advice, help (non-financial), or information. Services range from labour related problems (retrenchments, dismissals, unfair dismissals and pay disputes); financial problems (pensions, debts and loans) and UIF related problems to personal problems (health, family, marriage, educations, estate, consumer and various legal problems).

Volunteers Needed!

As a Law student at UNISA I am gratedful for the opportunity to volunteer at DCAB, where I have acquired the skills and knowledge to draft letters, conduct telephone calls and consult with the public. DCAB serves prominently in the practical side of our legal education. (Kgothatso on May 2022)

When I joined DCAB as a volunteer, I became part of an enthusiastic and knowledgeable group of young and old people. This experience has enriched my life because it is truly better to give than to receive. Helping others gives one great satisfaction. I urge people who care for our less privileged communities to join the DCAB family and learn something new during each working session. (Iris Steenkamp October 2019)
